It's Been Awhile

I know, I know...It's been a reallllly long time since my last post. Moving has been kinda stressful and time consuming, but also wonderful and liberating. Since I've moved, I've managed to get three new pairs of shoes, two dresses, and a hat. I'm terrible. But in my defense all three shoes were on sale, two of which cost less than $20. My outfits recently haven't been that exciting, its been hot and I haven't had many places to go besides the state fair.
I went to JCPenney's on a whim to look at shoes. I was shocked at what I found. The blue wedges are virtually identical to a pair I tried on at Macy's and a fourth of the price. I had to have them. On the other end of the style spectrum, I found these pink forties-inspired wedges and fell in love. They will go perfect with my ruffle shirt and pencil skirt.

I had been lusting for brown heeled gladiator sandals and I finally found them at Macy's. They're Nine West and were $35 on sale. I was ready to pay $50 for them but I got a nice surprise when I got to the register. The hat on the left is something I wasn't sure I liked for a long time. The baggy-beanie-beret was hugely popular last fall and winter, but I didn't decide that I liked them until it was spring. Apparently fall is coming, although I've got at least two months to go, but I thought I'd buy it now.

I bought the dress on the left not being entirely sure if it was something I would keep. It was $10 at F21 and I need another lightweight summer dress to wear to the fair. As much as I want to wear heels it would be a death sentence to my feet. I'll probably wear it with my flat gladiators or flip flops. The grape-colored dress on the right, looked terrible on the hanger, but than I saw it on the mannequin and it looked really good. I'm trying to thing of the right shoes...perhaps my patent mary janes, bronze peep toes, or maybe my new gladiators. We shall see. I'll probably wear it to my boyfriend's 21st birthday this friday....mmm cheesecake factory.
That's all for now.
